JANUARY HOURS

For the month of January we will be operating slightly shorter hours: Monday - Thursday 8am -6pm, Friday 8-5.30 and Saturday acute clininc 9-12midday.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

In 2018 we are making some changes to the way that we provide repeat prescriptions.   Please talk to your GP about what this means for you.

BOOKING ON-LINE

We now offer on-line bookings, this service enables you to see all the available appointments and book one that suits you.  We recommend that you register now so that next time you want an appointment this service is ready to go.  To register on line click "book now", select the "join" tab and complete the registration form, if all your data matches ours you will be sent a confirmation text to activate your account.  If you have any problems please contact us on 313-7877.

GARDASIL VACCINATION

Changes to the National  Vaccination schedule now mean that the Gardasil vaccinations are available to both boys and girls from the age of 9 years.  The age range has also been extended to 27 years.  Please contact the practice if you have any questions or would like to book.

NEW GP IN 2017

The team at MCD are excited to welcome a new GP to the team in 2017.  Dr Gert Gammelin comes to us from a busy general practice in the UK. Gert has worked in primary care for many years and is looking forward to joining our busy practice.

IMMIGRATION MEDICALS

Medical Corner Doctors is the only approved provider in North Canterbury for immigration medicals. North Canterbury X Ray is located next door to us, making it very easy to get your chest x-ray. 

TRAVEL CLINIC  

At Medical Corner Doctors we can provide you with a comprehensive travel service that includes:

*   Vaccination guidelines and requirements.
*   General travel advice (including malaria, food and water safety and rabies).
*   Medical assessment prior to travel for those travelling who may have health concerns.
*   Vaccinations as required, with the exception of Yellow Fever - available in Christchurch
